Driving in Tasmania
Looking to book a luxury or sports car with Overdrive?
You will see roads categorised as A, B or C when planning your itinerary.
· A roads = major sealed highways
· B roads = secondary sealed roads
· C roads = often unsealed
Some unsealed roads require extra care.
Be aware that Overdrive Rental Agreements contain special conditions in relation to unsealed roads. Do not use Overdrive cars on roads other than A, B, and C roads. Do not drive convertibles on C roads with the top open or windows down.
During the winter months, and occasionally spring, highland roads can be icy and snow is possible. Please take the usual safety precautions and, if in doubt, discuss the driving conditions with us.
